No Sin Renders You Useless To God

Washed Clean

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”                                      2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”                   Psalm 103:12 (NKJV)

Dear One,

God designed you as a unique individual.  He gave you talents and gifts to bless you and the others in your midst.  He knew you before you were born and fashioned you while still in your mother’s womb. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, so believe me when I say that God does not create junk!

Sadly, many of us do believe that the mistakes we have made in our past have turned us into garbage.  This is just not true and a lie straight from the mouth of the evil one.  The enemy loves to creep in and whisper lies.  He wants to convince us that our failures and sins have made us worthless and of no benefit to our Father.  To instill a feeling of inadequacy is certainly one of his goals.

When we gave our heart to Christ we became a new creation.  Our sins were forgiven and cast as far as the east is from the west, remembered by God no more (Ps.103:12).  As a new creation in Christ, we are the adopted sons and daughters of the Creator of the universe. (2 Corinthians 6:18)  We are royalty and the *devil wants us to forget this reality.

There is no sin, mistake, or crime we have committed that cannot be forgiven and turned into something good and beneficial by our God.  In fact, many of our mistakes can be used to comfort, instruct, and help others struggling in their spiritual walks.  We are called to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves have been shown  (2 Co. 1:3).   Is doubt and a feeling of worthlessness considered an affliction?  Yes, of course!  ? Has depression and hopelessness been a pain that you have overcome? Is the trap of feeling paltry and good-for-nothing be a topic you can understand and yet overcome, so that you can share encouraging words with another hurting soul?

We can’t let sin’s trap door keep us down.  Sin is an obstacle we face every day.  If we listen to *satan’s lies, they will start to permeate our souls.  We will loose hope and become depressed and paralyzed in our walk with Christ. We must forgive ourselves as soon as we have repented and received God’s continual forgiveness.

We all have a purpose and calling in life.  It is up to us to believe the truth that we do have worth.  Jesus died for us, so that makes us pretty valuable and costly.  We are precious, dearly loved, blessed, clean, and useful in the hand of He who crafted us from before our birth.

“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty.”    2 Corinthians 6:18 (NKJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (ESV)
