Promises of Refuge, Protection, & Unfailing Compassion of God

Hide In Shadow Of Wings

He will cover you with His feathers,
 and under His wings you will find refuge;
 His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”  Psalm 91:4 (NIV)

Dear One,                                                                 I have been through many trials, but within the past three years I have found my biggest tests of faith.  Many of the things I had placed my trust in have gone south, including family, career, health, and finances. Through each obstacle I have found safety under the shadow of His wings.  God has sheltered me from death, financial ruin, unemployment, and loneliness.  I have found great security in His faithful promise to protect me.

The Lord’s mercies prohibited the enemy from destroying and taking my life. I was not consumed by my trial but refined.  God faithfully provided all I needed to recover from a brain tumor.  Tests continue to come my way but they are all manageable through the grace and mercy of my King.

Have you been struggling with a burden lately?  Are you weary and are you questioning how long you must endure?  God may not answer the questions of your heart today, but He does offer a place to rest under the shelter of His loving and protective wings.  Why not fly up to Him and rest for a bit?  His peace will renew your strength and comfort you.

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”   Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV)

  1. Perfect picture for this post. Trials are tough, and it’s good to low we’re not alone.

      Hi Ms Genevieve,
      Don’t you just love the picture of the birds? I saw it and immediately thought of the scripture that inspired the post. Hope you and your dog are healthy and well. Bosco is fine and so is Willow.
